- 12 months on materials and workmanship
- 5 years on all hardware components
- 5 years on all paint finishes — guaranteed against premature blistering, flaking and peeling
Blinds
All blinds supplied by Origin Shutters carry a 5 year manufacturer's guarantee.
Awnings & Pergolas
Our awnings and pergolas carry an industry-leading guarantee:
- 10 years on the framework
- 10 years on the coating
- 5 years on electronics
- 5 years on fabric
- 3 years on accessories
Extent of Warranty Liability
The following are excluded from all guarantees:
- Misuse, normal wear and tear, failure to follow aftercare or maintenance instructions, and accidental damage
- Damage caused by external factors or environmental conditions (including but not limited to: tobacco smoke, fire or smoke damage, water damage, or similar)
- Any alteration, modification, or repair carried out by anyone other than Origin Shutters or the original manufacturer
Additional terms:
- Products are guaranteed to be free from faults and to meet agreed specifications and recognised technical standards
- Where possible, individual component parts will be supplied and fitted on site instead of replacing the full product
- The manufacturer may request the return of a product for factory repair
- Where an exact match is unavailable, the closest matching part or colour will be supplied
- Origin Shutters is not liable to replace all products on an entire order when only part of the order is affected
- All guarantees apply only to the original end-user and are non-transferable
- All guarantees apply only to domestic properties, not commercial premises
Terms of Payment
- Orders will only be processed once a deposit has been received
- After payment of the deposit, the order cannot be altered, cancelled, or deferred without potential charges for costs already incurred
- The final balance must be paid within 7 days of installation
- If, for any reason, the full contract cannot be completed, payment will be due for the proportion of work or products already installed
Liability for Damages
- Origin Shutters will be liable only for correcting any initial damage caused to the customer's premises during installation, and only where this damage relates directly to the installation of the original order
- Under no circumstances will Origin Shutters be responsible for redecoration, additional repairs, or making good beyond this scope
- Origin Shutters accepts no liability for any consequential or indirect loss under any circumstances
